How to integrate Salesforce with Leadchef

Before you start: Upload your contact list to Leadchef

For Leadchef to enrich your leads with job change insights, you need to upload a CSV file containing your CRM contacts.

  1. Go to the List Import page.
  2. Click Upload CSV and select your contact file.
  3. Leadchef will automatically match your data and enrich it with job changes and other data.

Tip: Ensure your CSV includes key contact details like name, email, company for better matching accuracy.

Step 1: Connect Leadchef to Salesforce

  1. After creating an account, navigate to IntegrationsSalesforce.
  2. Click Authenticate Salesforce to start the authentication process.
  3. Log in with your Salesforce credentials and grant necessary permissions.
  4. Once authorized, you will be redirected back to Leadchef with confirmation of a successful connection.

Tip: Ensure you have admin privileges in Salesforce to authorize the integration.

Step 2: Install managed package

After connecting Leadchef to Salesforce, you need to install our managed package.

  1. Log in to your Salesforce account.
  2. Navigate to the Salesforce AppExchange and search for Leadchef Integration.
  3. Click Get It Now and follow the installation prompts.
  4. Assign the necessary permissions to your users.
  5. Once installed, proceed to connect Leadchef to Salesforce.

Tip: Ensure you have Salesforce admin rights to install and configure the package.

Step 3: Automatic monthly sync to Salesforce

At the start of each month, Leadchef will automatically sync enriched leads back to Salesforce.

  1. Leadchef processes job change insights and updates your contact list.
  2. The first time you sync the data, you need to do it manually by clicking on "Sync Leads"
  3. The enriched data is automatically synced to Salesforce — no manual action required.
  4. You will receive an email notification confirming the sync, with a CSV attachment of updated leads.
